2 mid-week matches from European teams who got their games postponed to give them a better preparation. One will be played tonight and another tomorrow but I will cover both of them already in this post.

FC Antwerp vs Union

Antwerp is still undefeated with 5 wins in the league taking the maximum of the points. Yet, they today are the underdog at home against Union who are 5th with 3Wins - 1 Loss - 1 Draw. I guess the combination of key offensive player Frey being injured and Antwerp so far got generously rewarded while Union so far managed to continue their good form of last season. This also shows in the general stats. Antwerp only got 3.7 shots on target while Union had 7 on average in the last 3 matches. Antwerp also lost all of their corner matchups while Union had 5 wins and a draw there. However, Union has been valued on the market based on last season and went 1W-3M-1P against the Asian line while Antwerp went 4W-0.5L-0.5P against the Asian lines. Most likely this will turn out in a rather closed match which the total line also suggests similar to the previous Union match. Antwerp last week when they got in the lead just defended it without really playing anymore in the 2nd half. For this match based on how Union has been overrated on the betting market, I placed a 0.25 unit bet request for Antwerp +0.25 @ 1.800 which is the minimum price I'm willing to get in on it. It's one of the benefits of Sportmarket Pro where you can set odds you want which automatically get taken when they reach it. Antwerp this season has never reached 10 corners in one of their matches only creating 2.4 on average while Union is 3 Under and 2 over creating 6 on average. The limits however suck and Wink which was an option to take some with crypto shut down so I will wait for a potential live entry.

Anderlecht vs AA Gent

Anderlecht so far looked great in matches against smaller teams where they manage to take an early lead but I don't think they are good enough against good teams. Hoedt in their central defense just hasn't been good in a long time while Trebel got injured leaving them with extremely young and inexperienced players in the midfield. They do have quality offensively with Fabio Silva but overall it seems to be a similar story of the previous years falling just short behind other teams like Club Brugge / Antwerp / Genk / AA Gent. Right now I see them as a team that really needs to have a great day to win matches like this and they are also capable of losing against smaller teams if they have an off day. Overall unreliable and not a team you want to take pre-game bets on and rather wait to see what it brings or back them after they have taken the lead against smaller teams. AA Gent is in a similar spot to last season kind of having missed their start with 2 wins (against Westerloi & Oostende) 1 Loss (against Antwerp) and 2 Draws against Stvv & Standard) while failing to qualify for the Europa League against Omonia. The potential certainly is there but a combination of Injuries / bad luck / unneeded focus loss / key players not yet in top form has made it into a difficult start. The potential however is there and I see them as a team that in it's current form most likely will finish the season above Anderlecht now. For that reason, I was willing to take 0.276 units on AA Gent +0.5 @ 1.780 and 0.324 units on AA Gent +0.25 @ 2.013. I still have some room left to work with in-game where I will be looking at AA Gent Team Total Over & I also like the AA Gent + corners handicap.
