Real Sociedad vs Anderlecht
Anderlecht (109M) after a start in the league where somehow them managed to take the points now has been in a streak with 5 matches without a win. However, they did manage to win in Europe deserved against Ferencvárosi (59M). They are still in search for a coach and in the meantime Hubert tries to make them play a bit more offensive which was the main problem since they lack the needed creativity. They didn't get further than a 1-1 draw away against Dender (16M) and on top picked up some extra injuries wit Amuzu while Key defensive midfielder Dendoncker is sick and Hazard + Vertonghen are still out. This leaves them without 3 key players that otherwise always would be in the squad. Tonight they play away against Sociedad (421M) who took an away draw against Nice in the first round playing with a more or less similar lineup than their league game. In the weekend they managed to win 3-0 at home against Valencia (260M) even though they only are 14th in the league after 8 weeks. Overall based on the form and missings in Anderlecht, the Squad value difference, and the fact that Sociedad after an away draw should put importance on this match, I took 0.4 units on
Real Sociedad 1H -0.25 @ 1.792. I just don't see Anderlecht as good enough with a goalkeeper who used to be 3rd choice, a mediocre defense, midfield with limited creativity and a striker who doesn't get many good balls and players who generally don't have a peak form.
Union SG vs Bodo/Glimt
Union (82M) is no longer the team they used to be in the past years with their coach and some key players leaving which got them in a position where maint the offensive qualities have been too low. However, it looks like Ivanovic now has the potential to fill this gap. They won 3-0 against a very weak Kortrijk (29M). Important defender Mac Allister is suspended today while Sykes and Burgess are fully back. They will be playing in the Belgian national stadion which has a track and too many places for there to be much ambiance most likely. Union lost their first match against Fenerbahce with 2-1 even though they actually put up a good performance especially at thestart. The 1-0 against play did shake them up, a red card for them in the 2nd half made it missing impossible. Bodo/Glimt (42M) won their home match against Porto with 3-2. They are currently in the lead in the Norway League after 24 weeks with a 57:21 goal saldo expecially doing really well at home. They have Zinckernagel as player on loan from Club Brugge which indicates that they are an ok side. Their coach rotated with an eye on this match. Mainly at home they are underestimated as the artificial pitch gives them an advantage. I expect an offensive-minded match today with the main question if Union will be able to finish the chances this time around. My main angle these past weeks has to go for the 1H over in corners in Union Matches if the line hits Over 4. I already took 4 Cautious 0.05 units bets on
1H Over 4.5 corners @ 1.964,
Over 2.5 @ 1.879,
Both To Score @ 1.761,
Over 10.5 corners @ 2.338. This with an eye to possibly take more in-game.
Cercle Brugge vs St Gallen
Cercle Brugge (56M) didn't start the season well as it showed that some key players leaving really hurt them. Especially defensively they were nowhere and looked very vulnerable while Denkey after a missed transfer wasn't in good form. However, by now things seem to have improved as they did find some defensive stability while Denkey started scoring again. This made them take a deserved 2-1 win over AA Gent and an unlucky 1-1 against Stvv. They kind of look back on track now even though I'm sure that they will lose points in the league due to the fatigue factor. Tonight they play St Gallen (23M) at home in their first European match since long. Initially I saw a possible bet on St Gallen +0.5 @ 1.800 which I took just 0.056 units on at the time unable to get more at that price aside from a crypto betand St-Gallen Team Total Over 1 @ 1.77 which I also got some crypto stake unable to get more. However, the recent improvement of Cercle holds me back and now makes me lean more toward Cercle -0.25. I'm just going to stick to what I took 2+ weeks ago thinking the match was going to be played a couple days later instead of 2 weeks later with the new format.
Chelsea vs AA Gent
I see AA Gent (68M) right now as one of the teams who have gotten way more than what they actually deserve based on the play they have put on the pitch. They were fortunate the score early making the difference at home both against Mechelen and OHL, they Won away against Club Brugge despite totally being played away in the first 25 minutes of that match and they lost deserved 2-1 against Cercle. They do show a clear difference in quality in home and away matches in favor of the home matches and they are now up away against Chelsea (954M) who likely will look to start the conference league strong at home with the new format. It can be expected for Chelsea to rotate but even that should leave them with too much quality. I already took an early bet which as always I shared on the SBC Discord of 0.4 units on
Chelsea -1.5 @ 1.970 mainly opposing AA Gent. Bu now the line moved to -2.25 and I might hedge a small part above 0.3 units profit on the 2+ goal win later today.
