AA Gent vs Mechelen
There was a trend last year of playoff 2 matches often having extreme high scores which seem to continue being the case looking at Oostende vs Standard yesterday. The format this season is a bit different with only 4 teams and the first being sure of an European Conference League qualifiers Ticket but still I wouldn't be surprised to see this trend continue and so does the Asian betting market with quite high total lines. Oostende took a 5 point lead on AA Gent and 6 on Mechelen with only 6 matches being played in this group. In the previous matchup which was played in Mechelen. AA Gent was without Vadis but took the better start with Mechelen luring on the counter. It quickly became 0-1 to soon after see the 1-1 which turned out to be the final results as the match was very disappointing afterward. Overall I rate AA Gent as the better team who should win if they live up to their potential. This has been a problem all season long though making it hard to back them with confidence. Mechelen also certainly has their quality and isn't without chance today. My lean is on the over but I'm waiting to see what the match brings in-game as Mechelen had matches in the past like this which on paper should be wide-open play out as total non-matches.
No Pre-Game Bets
Club Brugge vs Anderlecht
Anderlecht managed to with the previous encounter in week 33 of the league at home with 2-1 and it still puzzles me how they took this win as Club Brugge looked in complete control. . The first half was a rather boring 0-0 with neither team willing to take risk/ Brugge scored the 0-1 early in the 2nd half after Anderlecht took a good start and didn't have issues to keep this against Anderlecht who had no reaction until there came 2 goals pretty much out of nowhere. There is no doubt in my mind that Club Brugge in every aspect has the superior team and they will be close to complete aside from Mata being suspended. The same thing goes for Anderlecht. I'm expecting a focused and motivated Club Brugge today looking to set things straight in a match where Anderlecht once again likely will have the most focus on the defense. I see Anderlecht as overrated and Club Brugge as underrated even though Anderlecht with their good defense is unlikely to suffer a big defeat. I understand the line to that extent. I did take a small bet yesterday evening on
Club Brugge 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.980 which went up in price overnight to 2.20 unfortunately. I'm looking to add to my position hoping to be able to catch Club Brugge -0.25 @ 1.8+ for FT as I have a really hard time seeing Anderlecht pull another miracle win. Should be an interesting match.
