Some profit one the first 1/8 Cup finals match yesterday but I really noticed the hesitation and lack of confidence overall in my ability at the moment even though this time I would have been right. I was too cautious cost-averaging in and the goal quickly came after which didn't allow me to take more bets. I continue to look for a better form and days like yesterday do really help toward that. I'm still pretty motivated so here are the previews of the 6 Cup matches that will be played tonight and only 1 smallish bet as it feels like all lines are razor sharp again. I hope to have some more live bets.

OH Leuven vs Zulte-Waregem

OHL so far had 2 matches after their coach was fired played with an interim coach. They played 2 draws 1-1 against Union and 0-0 against Anderlecht both at home. They now will have their new coach Comeman on board who made some bold statements while not knowing the league. So it remains to be seen how exactly he will play with Leuven and if they will now play more forward and capable to score. The thing that is clear is that they have more than enough quality in their team. Zulte-Waregem is in the lead in 2nd division at the moment, I haven't watched a single match from them and don't really have a clue how they will approach the cup. So way too many question marks for me to take on any gamble. No Pre-Game Bets

Union vs AA Gent

Union even though they still aren't the most fee scoring seems to be back as they are without a loss in the league in their last 4 matches while they also put up an excellent performance against Twente. despite taking a red card against Antwerp, they still managed to pull out a win and overall vibe in the team is really good. On the other hand, AA Gent still remains in a big struggle and they are way higher in the standings compared to where they deserve to be. Both teams have similar fatigue and no major injured players. I do expect both to play the A-Squad and see Union as the winner in this one. if a -0.5 line is good value is something else though. I was willing to take a 0.2 unit gamble on Union 1st Half -0.25 @ 2.071 which feels worth the risk. I'll see how it goes to possibly get in some more in-game.

Cercle Brugge vs Sint-Truiden

Cercle Brugge sacked their coach was kind of feels like a weird decision as he wasn't really the problem. They simply could not handle the heavy load with extra European matches while luck was not on their side and they simply also lost too much quality. The loss again Beerschot despite taking a good start was the points lost too much and today already. His assistant will take over for now so I don't expect too much to change and possibly the players giving everything. Stvv played an excellent match against Genk at home but didn't get further than a 2-2 after a hands goal allowed for Genk. So for this match it feels like motivation will be key, is they're going to be a shock effect for Cercle after the coach was fired and is stvv going to have a decompression match after the unlucky result against Genk. Overall right now I see stvv as the slight better team so taking them as the underdog is the only real option. It was one of the bets I wanted to take early but doubt and the fact that Cercle had a coach change held me back. By now the odds dropped and I'm not about to chase them. No Pre-Game Bets

Beerschot vs Kv Mechelen

Beerschot right now is in an excellent vibe after winning against Direct opponent Cercle which brings them back in the race to say despite still being last and overall player quality not fully being up to 1st league standards. I assume their coach will just play the 1st team but it easily could be that he rotates with the focus more on the league as it is way more important. Mechelen has played good this season but more so at home compared to on the road as they are coming off 2 away losses against Kortrijk and stvv. Usually they are also over at home and under away. Mechelen as the -0.25 / -0.5 favorite today feels about right. No Pre-Game Bets

Genk vs Standard

Genk seems to be in somewhat of a dip after a great season start. However, this more based on their previous 2 away matches with a 4-0 loss against Union where they had a collective off day and a 2-2 draw against Stvv where they should have lost. In the previous home match, they won with 3-0 which was an exaggerated score where all goals came late. Standard continues to be a team that is not impressive while they win all their coinflip matches which puts them in 9th place with 22 points. I'm always looking for positions to oppose them as the regression to the mean will eventually kick in. So I fully expect Standard to focus on defense and Genk to try to find back their good form. I'm not quite sure enough to take the gamble on them at the offered -1.25 line but I will keep an eye on them for in-game bets. Standard is still without Bates while Bodart also got injured putting back Epolo in goal. So a big lean on Genk in this match but no bets just yet. No Pre-Game Bets

Kortrijk vs Antwerp

Kortrijk managed to have a nice 3-1 win against Mechelen in a match where they finished at 100% while the opponent had an off day. Overall I see them as a poor team and a near sure bottom 4 side and don't really see the win as a turning point. Antwerp disappointed against Union away even though they were able to play with their most experienced players. Their main problem right now is that their bench is simply too weak. Mean lean still is on Antwerp but I'm not willing to take them without any kind of confirmation at a -0.5 line. No Pre-Game Bets
