A good day - My Actifit Report Card: September 23 2023
Yesterday was fantastic even though I didn't do that many steps.
In the morning, I went hiking with hubby to La Fila Park!!!! Quite a success, my husband hadn't hiked since he had a health problem in January 2021, so it was a great accomplishment for him and a good start to be able to get on other more demanding trails.
The morning was hot. The summit of Avila is usually very cloudy these days and the humidity is oppressive. But it was still pleasant to climb.
This butterfly was quite elusive until I managed to get a photo of it, hehe. I love its shades.
And it's always a treat to take in the beautiful view of the mountains, cloudy or not. The view from this lookout always feeds my soul.
The afternoon was spent at a family gathering with my mother's paternal family to whom I have never been close. My mother lost her father very young and lost contact with that part of her family except on a few occasional occasions. However, it was a pleasant time, full of good vibes. Of meetings and chatting. Of meeting cousins I had never met before. And strangely enough, the feeling was that of being with family.
A good day without a doubt. I'm #aliveandthriving.

Haha! Believe me, that butterfly photo was just a matter of luck, there were many like that and they all eluded me. Don't give up, one of these days you'll find an unsuspecting one! 🦋😄

Hahaha, hope to get that luck too one day. The sad thing is the butterfly visiting in our garden are all so tiny that it is really hard to capture them ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
