A visit to the "José María Ochoa Pile" Park after a long time
Last weekend we decided to go out with our children to José María Ochoa Pile Park, better known as "Eastern Park", and as its name suggests, it is located in the eastern area of the city of Barquisimeto in Venezuela.
We hadn't visited him for a long time, our youngest child wasn't even born yet, we only had our oldest when we last went, and that was a few years ago.
We were quite pleased with the weather we encountered, the day was cool, the breeze could be felt constantly even though the sun was present. As for the park we could notice that there are some areas that have been recovered, for example the lagoon, in the park there is a fairly large one and it crosses a considerable space, when it is empty it looks horrible but this time it was full and the water was very clean. We took the opportunity to take some pictures there.
After that we went into the deepest part of the park, in that area there is a track for visitors to enjoy jogging, biking or skating, is surrounded by lush trees, however as we are in summer you could glimpse many of its branches without leaves which gives a shady effect but in turn quite striking, my daughter took the opportunity to skate and exercise for a while.
When we left there we went to a physical recreation area, where there are some obstacles to climb ropes, climb small meadows that in other parts of the city are called "hills", here the children had a lot of fun, at times they decided to climb up and down the meadows while at other times climbing was the best, we spent a good part of the time in that place and we also took the opportunity to have a snack together.
As it was a higher area we could feel the sun's light on our faces, but also the breeze could be felt more intensely.
After lunch we rested for a while and then visited the sports area of the park, in that area there are several courts to play, some for basketball, others for indoor soccer and some for volleyball, besides that there is a wide field that is used as a softball field.
Even though there was a dew falling, several puddles of water could be seen on the fields, even so the children did not hesitate to go and play and enjoy the place, they were careful not to fall in the water and played soccer for a long time.
The park has its care areas, there are places that can not be traversed, but there are others where recreation is possible, not only to walk with children, you can also go alone to run for a while and enjoy the environment, even walk or rest.
The José María Ochoa Pile Park is a cultural heritage of the city of Barquisimeto, its access is very viable and the experience you can have there is rewarding, so if someday you find yourself traveling around the world and you arrive to the city of Barquisimeto, do not hesitate to visit it.
