Description from Strava: Good evening community.
Recently I got given a very old retro road bike from a work friend as he is has never been Into cycling but has had his father's bike sitting in his shed for a lot of years so as he knew I cycled to work and have recently broke my bike he has gave me that one.
I had to fix a few things like replacing the back tire and alligning the brakes to the wheel better but finally it was good to go.
Getting used to the bike was pretty easy I had nerves because of how thin the wheels are but as long as you avoid mud and bumps you are fine.
I decided to go on an adventure to the local county park that I'm familiar with however seeing as I can't bike through the woods or the muddy terrain I decided to follow the road through the sewer works and onto country roads which took me to a new place I've never seen and a good few miles away from the city.
The bike rides fairly well however with it being so old it has an old gear system where to switch gears you pull a lever on the bike frame and it's only a single chain so only the back gears change and is very difficult to ride up hill
Other than that it is a nice looking bike and I had fun adventuring on it
