Playing my favourite sports tournament ("CRICKET").

Greetings everyone!

Here we go today with another blog about my favourite sport which I love and use to play a lot. It's all about the "CRICKET". On the last weekend I have an tournament of the cricket at the TURF, and if you win the tournament the winning team will get 51000rupees cash price (in dollars 615$). Well many of the people might don't know what is turf, so let me introduce it first to you guys.

Well TURF is just a small place covered by the green nets all over just in a rectangle shape. And in that there is a special pitch made where you can play the game. And there are some rules and regulation that you have to maintain and follow as per the TURF.

Rules like :-

• You have to stand and deliver the ball towards the batsmen. If your leg of foot get's up then NO BALL will be given by the umpire.

• There is a pace limit of 72km per hour of pace, if it goes beyond that NO BALL will be given.

• If the ball goes up towards to net and directly caught by the fielder then the batsmen will be given out.

• There is a certain line half of the pitch if the ball gets bounce before that by the bowler then it will be given as NO BALL.

So these are some rules that you have to maintain and follow while playing the game in TURF.

Now let me tell you some things about the tournament, how we played and it was.

So as my tournament was on 10th and 11th AUGUST, it was for 2 days. And there were 12 teams overall and in each teams there were 9 person including the sponsor and captain.
The cost of each team sponsor was almost 100$ and for each person the amount was of 12$ to play the game.

And a week before there was already a auction happened and all the team captains and sponsor were already sitting and making their own team. So my team name was UDHNA FIGHTERS. So there were 12 teams and they have divided them into two equal groups of 6 teams.

And the organizer have already set up the schedule for every team, when and with whom the matches will be played in the against each other. Every team has 4 league matches in every group and if you qualified for that then you will be playing semi-finals.

So these were the schedule with the timings and date of every team, and their opponent. There were already many number of people the place was little bit crowded, and for each and every single person there was a jersey with their number and name.

So at the first day we were having two matches as per the schedule, our match were continue, so as the first match of our tournament we played very well and we win the match easily, but the last match of the day one was little bit harder for us to win the game, and how we lose one match. But at the end of the day our team run rate was very good that we can qualify easily.

And on the second day we still have two more matches to play and in that match we played very well and good, and we win both of the matches one by one against the strong team, and our team qualified very easily for the semi-final of the tournament. So basically out of 4 league matches we won 3 and we lose only single match.

And as we qualified for the semis we played and tried our best to win the game against our strong opponent. But we just lose that match and then we get disqualified from the game. And that moment our tournament was ended and now we can go home. But anyhow we enjoyed a lot and make some more new interactions with the new teams and captains.
