Ad Meliora, Superb Lunch, Sending Off & My Actifit Report Card: March 10 2024

I came across a comment from a friend in Facebook that said "Ad Meliora." Curious, I looked it up. It's Latin, meaning "towards better things." Ah, nice one. It was indeed a fitting comment.

We had an amazing lunch thanks to my neighbour, who whipped up some fantastic dishes. We savored Laing (taro leaves in coconut milk with pork), crispy fried fish, and Pork Adobo—a taste of home 🇵🇭. But the standout for me was definitely the Kinilaw na Tanigue (Fish Ceviche). I couldn't get enough of its refreshing flavors and ended up devouring loads of it. 😆

Since my housemate/friend’s cousin’s leaving for home and had a flight to catch, we opted to head out for dinner earlier than usual. Honestly, I was still feeling quite full, but I agreed to go along with it, knowing it would inevitably lead to another endless chatter. LOL. Then I received an email from school stating that the moon had not been sighted, meaning work is ‘on’ tomorrow. I had hoped for the opposite outcome, as it would have been best if the moon was sighted as Mondays are always long. Sheeesh. Oh well…
