Squirrel, Bday Party, Ilao Ilao & My Actifit Report Card: October 29 2023
As I enjoyed my morning coffee and scrolled through social media by my bedroom window, I noticed some movement near the trees. Initially, I thought it might be monkeys, but to my surprise, it was a squirrel gracefully darting through the branches. In all my years in Brunei, this is only the second time I've had the chance to see a squirrel up close. However, it's worth noting that monkeys and crocodiles are quite common sight here.
Tomorrow's back to work, and in a snap, my 9-day break is finished. Nooooo! But yeah, LOL. To make things easier for the next couple of days, I decided to cook some food that I could store in the fridge and simply reheat when needed. I prepared vegetables and chicken, and it took me about two hours to get everything done in the kitchen.
Following lunch, I joined my housemate and neighbour to attend a birthday pool party for our mutual friend's daughter. Since I had already eaten at home, I didn't have much to eat at the party. We didn't stay very long either as we had errands to run and needed to pick up essential items at the mall.
Wrapping up our day, we decided to treat ourselves to some Ilao Ilao. Although we had originally planned to head home after picking up our essentials, the lady seated to my right, had a strong craving for it. She managed to persuade us to join her, and she generously covered the bill, which made it all the more enjoyable! Teehee
