Madrid Flirting With Martin Return

Arsenal's new captain Martin Odegaard has been in fantastic form since making his loan move permanent and he is now a vital cog in the gunner's push to win their first league title in over a decade. But all that could be crumbling down, we always see this when the Gunners build up a good team, and players get poached by the likes of Madrid, Barca, Juve or City so its no surprise that it could be happening again.

Arsenal could be at risk of losing captain Martin Odegaard following reports that his early season form has caught the eye of Real Madrid, who feel they made a mistake and could return for their former player.

The Norwegian only signed a permanent deal with the Gunners in the summer of 2021 and has been influential this season with the likes of Modric getting up there in age, Odegaard would be the ideal replacement for him, as he is flourishing in this new number 6 role at Arsenal.

According to Marca, Los Blancos have the first refusal on Odegaard after inserting the clause into his contract when he joined Arsenal. The report also states that hope to exercise this clause should he wish to return to Spain.

So if they can offer Odegaard a tempting deal, why wouldn't he give up London for Madrid?
