Mikel Wants To Reunite With Ferran
Arsenal are in the market for a forward and Barca are in the mood to clear out their front line so it could be a match for the two clubs. Barca have already gotten rid of former captain Aubamayang selling him to Chelsea and are reportedly ready to let another former premier league player go in Torres. Arsenal are optimistic about their chances of sealing a January deal for Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres as Mikel worked with him at city.
The Spain international ended his brief spell at Manchester City to sign for the Blaugrana in January, but he has quickly fallen down the pecking order after Barca's with Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha both making the move to Camp Nou in the summer, along with Dembele, Depay and Fati, there isn't much space for Torres to get game time.
Torres has been restricted to six starts in La Liga and one in the Champions League this season.

The 22-year-old despite limited game time still managed five goals and one assist from 18 outings in the 2022-23 campaign and he scored two goals in four World Cup matches for Spain so his form seems good.
Since returning to his homeland over the winter, Torres has struck 12 goals and set up seven more in 44 games for Barcelona, having previously recorded 16 goals and four assists from 43 outings back in the blue of Man city.
The former Valencia man's versatility and previous work experience with Mikel and City could be enough to secure a loan move. Ferran would a lot in either as a 9 or a wide player and push Martinelli or Nkeita for a spot in the front 3 with Saka.
