Could Depay Deputise For Jesus

Arsenal are in a bit of a pickle looking at life without Jesus for the next few months and the transfer window could provide some relief in January as they seek out a cut-price deal for Barcelona star Memphis Depay who has had a good world cup.

The London giants have been impressive during the first part of the Premier League season and they are presently top of the table with a five-point advantage over Manchester City and need a reliable goal scorer upfront.

Gabriel Jesus has had a big role to play up front with five goals and six assists from 14 games so replacing that won't be easy for someone like Nketiah, should Arsenal do a deal for Mephis be it permanent or on loan it will show Nketiah he hasn't done enough to convince Arsenal that he can lead the line and he may need to move on.

The Dutch star, who hasn't been a Barca favourite has also been linked with Juventus this year, could be signed for a bargain fee in January with his Barcelona contract due to expire at the end of June 2023.

If the Gunners can bag him for 20 million it would be a good bit of business for Edu, and between him and Zaha as possible options at the same fee its anyones guess on which Mikel would prefer.
