New Cup Run Same Old Arsenal
Arsenal had the chance tonight to start a cup of run and with such a strong run un Europa and the league you would think they would mirror that in the domestic cup but it was not to be, arsenal played Brighton at home and fielded a decent enough squad bar the goalie
And it should have been more than enough to see off a second string Brighton squad but Mikel took a gamble and it failed
Arsenal took the lead through good work from the ever bright Nelson and Nketiah finished well so you thought they would go on to dominate the game but that wasn’t the script
The seagulls caught them out three times and managed to to race into a 3-1 Lead that even with 4 subs mikel still don’t have enough in the tank to catch up and we now crashing out early
While it is disappointed for the fans tonight it could be a blessing in disguises as there are now less distractions and we can focus on keeping up a league challenge for while rivals city beat Chelsea to move on to the next round
