Jesus could be out after the north London derby

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has been on fire since his move to the club and has become an integral part of the early season's success. His live wire performances and his clinical finishing has been something we've missed at the Emirates for a while and his really showing what a quality finisher can do with the service a Gunners midfield can provide.

His all out all action approach does tend to get him in the books a lot too, and he is now perilously close to being suspended ahead of a crucial run of fixtures for Mikel Arteta's side.

The Gunners face north London rivals Tottenham next and the Brazilian striker will have to be on his best behaviour if not and he picks up another yellow he will be suspended and with fixtures coming thick and fast, it might not be a good sign for us.

A suspension against Spurs would rule him out of the visit of Liverpool on October 9 leaving Eddie Nketiah to lead the line against the Reds a prospect very few Arsenal fans would welcome. This would be followed by a return of a Jesus for matches away to Leeds and Southampton follow, while a trip to Chelsea is on the horizon in November.

The thing is if we lose to Spurs or Liverpool, Man city will close the gap and once they do, I doubt they will let go of the top spot for the rest of the season, with Haaland looking like he is not shy of goals this season.
