Injuries are stacking up for Arsenal
Arsenal were able to keep their winning record going against Fulham despite having Partey and Zinchenko out injured. Tomiyasi and Tierney again featured late and are not yet up to full fitness.
Elneny came in for Partey against Fulham, but hurt himself in the game on Saturday and will miss Arsenal's Premier League match with Aston Villa due to a hamstring injury. He may have hurt it quite badly since the Egyptian carried on to play the full 90 minutes of the game.
Such is his commitment to the club, and the exact extent of the injury is not currently known with Elneny set be scanned over the next 24 hours before we know how long he will be out.

Arsenal could be bolstered by the return of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who may be in contention to play against Villa but the Ukrainian needs to pass a fitness test before his deemed ready.
Meanwhile, there is slightly more positive news on Thomas Partey, whose thigh injury seems to be healing up but it might not be wise to rush him back. Arsenal is hopeful that the Ghanaian could be available for selection again in a couple of weeks.
So that leaves us with Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, and Albert Sambi Lokonga is another option to play in the deeper midfield role. Ben White is also a player who is able to play in the role but Mikel is unlikely to want to disrupt his back 3.
This could be a game for Xhaka and Lakonga to try and strike up a partnership and will really be a test of Arsenal's squad depth even though they face a Villa in really poor form.
