Who best to blow £50 million on?
Arsenals' lack of negotiating and scouting showing once again as we watch other teams secure players while we sit and wait until we make a desperate panic buy. I've seen this play out too many times, It looks like we'll miss out on our real targets and now I am hearing rumours of a 50 million bid for either Raphinia of Leeds or Tammy Abraham.
None of which I am convinced is worth the money and would be another Pepe situation
I haven't always been Abraham's biggest fan, but it appears he has come a long way since joining AS Roma. 26 goals and five assists represent a hugely successful debut season in the Italian capital, but again this is Italy.
He didn't do too badly with Chelsea or Villa mind you but is spending 50 million worth the difference he makes from someone like Nketiah? Honestly, I don't see it yet.
He was Roma's star last season and trying to attract him back to the EPL will likely put a sizeable price tag on him which could prove to be a massive hurdle.

As for Raphinia, he had a great season with Leeds, but he prefers to play out wide on the right, which is Saka's position, he is full of skill but light in the pants, and won't be much help leading the line.
I don't doubt his ability or skill, I think he is a great player, but we need out and out strikers, we need a goal poacher and a battering ram as well as someone who can hold up the ball and provide an aerial threat, of which Raphinia offers zero.

I bet you're happy that Arsenal is positively shaming you now with their activity in the market. Word on the news is that by next week, the deals for Tieleman, Jesus and Kicky will all be done and dusted.
Where are you seeing this news? I only saw the deal for Viera is in advanced talks after agreeing fees
Sky news reported that its already done and dusted, Vieria is subject to a trivial medical today.
Gabriel Jesus deal is in the pipes; Arsenal's initial bid was rejected but a second bid that is closer to City's valuation has been tabled. Sources say that it is in advanced stage.
No official bid for Tieleman but sources believe that he's interested in a move to Arsenal.
Asron hicky deal was already in advanced stage during the season and I reckon he will be joining the squad as well.
