Arsenal Top 4 Hopes Alive With 2 On The Bounce
If there is one club that can drive you to drink its Arsenal, after losing 3 on the trot against mid-table teams, Arsenal went on to face fellow top 4 rivals and with our only senior striker out no less. Arsenal had been struggling for goals scoring 1 in 3 games and yet in these last 2 games, we came away with 6 points and scored 7 goals
One concern has been the lack of clean sheets but Cedric and Tavares are not good defenders and are nowhere near the level of Tomiyasi and Tierney so once they were out we started to leak goals.
The introduction of Elneny has been a breath of fresh air his calming presence in the midfield while very boring is what we need to build a solid base, he didn't put a foot wrong tonight and was unlucky to be booked.
He also covered a lot of ground and did work that fans may not notice.
The score flatters Arsenal having seen Bruno miss a penalty and United not getting a penality they should have gotten for a Cedric handball.
As fate would have it the second handball was given as a penalty but United failed to convert. Most of the glory will be heaped on the likes of Saka for another man of the match performance and Xhaka for his screamer that settled the game.
However, the players who I think really did well today were Elneny and Xhaka, they kept the midfield ticking, were aggressive in the tackle didn't dilly on the ball and kept the team moving from side to side.

Arsenal have done themselves wonders with these 2 wins to keep top-four hopes alive, it remains to be seen if they can go the distance.
