Arsenal Keeping Tabs On Vitinha

Arsenal have found it hard to find a defensive midfielder that would join them, Sander Berge, Brightons Bissommo, and Manuel Locatelli, decided against joining the gunners leaving us short of cover, and to many fans’ frustration, Granit Xhaka stayed.

We had hopes that Sambi would take over but none of the players in the squad are a natural six and the young Belgian was the only reinforcement as he learns to get to grips with the premier league.

Granted Xhaka has been very good this season by his standard, its still not good enough and he cost us a few points next to Partey it shows how average he is and why he needs to move on, to allow Partey more freedom.

Arsenal is looking for options and Portugals Vitinha has been added to the list. Currently on loan at Wolves from parent club Porto the 22 year old has played 19 games and brought some real steel to the wolves midfield.

Mikels move to a 4-3-3 is not by choice he did so due to the squad he has and its worked so far. In this new 4-3-3, the left central midfielder is much more involved offensively. We all know Mikel prefers the 4-2-3-1 but until he gets a player who can is solid defensively and has a good passing range I don't see it happening.

Vitinha is a workhorse and ball-carrying is much better than Xhaka’s and could flourish with Martin Odegaard and provide us with more bodies in the box and movement in the center.
