James Ward Prowse Seen As A Top Target
Arsenal is looking to rebuild their midfield with Xhaka and Maitland Niles to leave soon and Elneny walking away on a free at the end of the season. That will leave only Sambi and Partey as options in the center and so far, options we have looked at didn't work out. As Arsenal looks for new targets they have now been linked sign Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse to partner Partey.
Ward-Prowse has been a premier league staple for the last 5 seasons and is known as an engine, a combative Premier League central midfielder but one with a great passing range and an eye for set-pieces.
James has spent his entire career with the Saints, and at 27-year-old it's time to move to a bigger club if he is to have a chance of winning some silverware before he retires.

As Arsenal look to take the next step and if they secure Europe a midfielder of James Caliber would indeed be a step up and give me a lot more faith in the engine in the middle of the park.
Ward Prowse is rated at 32 million but as his contract will be 6 months shorter by the time summer comes around 25 - 28 million should be enough to get him to break ties and move to North London, the same way Chambers, Walcott, and Oxlade-Chamberlin did so many years ago.
