Arsenal Scraping The Bottom Of The Barrel With Ze Luis

Arsenal have left themselves wide open to issues with such a thin squad and by not getting in any replacements, they are taking a massive risk, and now there is news that they realize it's a problem. But it's really too late, and securing any players now will be down to those currently in the free agent pool.

One I did mention was a player currently training with them in Jack Wilshire while the other is pretty much an unknown to most Arsenal fans and football fans around the world.

Arsenals' lack of strikers has seen them linked with Ze Luis and frankly, this is embarrassing and I hope it's all just talk. Ze Luis is a 31-year-old Cape Verdean who is a bit of a European journeyman, operating in leagues outside the big five, spending most of his career in Portugal and Russia.

He has moved around to several clubs and never really made a name for himself or had a truly break out season.

Despite a pretty unspectacular career individually, he comes pretty decorated with trophies, winning every domestic trophy in Portugal and the Russian Premier League. Still, I don't see how he is anything more than a filler player and should rather spend time finding a new long-term club than try to fill in for Arsenal til the end of the season.
