Auba moves to barca on a free transfer
It's been a long protracted saga for former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has not had the best time at his final season at the club. He has been dropped and stripped of the captains arm banned and kept out in the cold. A loan deal to Barca fell through but it looks like Arsenal and Auba have agreed to cancel his contract with the club and see him move on to Barca on a free transfer.
News from the club mentions that Aubameyang had made "financial sacrifices" to try and get the deal done but time is running out, so I assume his chosen to take no compensation on the cancellation of his contract which still had 18 months left.
A deal that cost him a pretty penny considering his contract is 350k a week, so around 27 million his saving Arsenal on wages, which are funds that can be diverted to improving the squad.
Arsenals squad continues to thin out, with Eddie Nketia subject to bids from Palace and Newcastle and could also leave in this window.

On the incoming side Arsenal have signed defender Auston Trusty from Colorado Rapids on a permanent transfer. However, Trusty, 23, will remain at Colorado on loan until May, while there are plans to have him loaned out in Europe for the 2022-23 season.

Am happy for him, but disappointed for arsenal because there's no incoming.
The only signing Trusty was to be only loan till summer.
