Arthur Melo Is On The Move

Arsenal have been in desperate need of a qualified midfielder for some time now to help reduce the dependence on partey and give the team more options. Arthur of Juve has been targeted for months now but nothing concrete has gone through, but now news has surfaced that the gunners are willing to meet his personal demands.

Arsenal has agreed to pay Melos wages of 140k a week for a 6-month deal until the end of the season, but Juventus is looking to offload the player and either want a long-term deal or an offer to buy.

The best option for both teams would be to take the 6-month loan with an offer to buy at the end of the season, and settle on a fee.

Melo has not played much this season for Juve and could be rusty but at this point, we cannot really be too concerned with his form as we need midfielders. He has previously shown his quality for Juve and especially for Barca so we know he has talent.

How he adapts to Arsenal and the premier league is another question altogether, that will be answered if he signs

I would like to see Arthur and Thomas as the midfield 2, with Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka, and Lacazette up front, and see how this combination works.

We could also play a 4 3 3 and have Xhaka, Melo, and Party with Saka Martinelli and Lacazette instead. I'd be keen to see how Mikel works Arthur into the team and how he will affect the squad with his passing and movement off the ball.
