Elneny Out, Kessie In

I've mentioned that Arsenal need new bodies in the middle of the park with three players already on their way out. When we consider that in January it will be Afcon, a few more players will be out for that month, namely Elneny, Partey and Aubamayang.

I mentioned that yesterday that the Swede Mattias Svanberg could be an option to bring in immediately to try and fill that space, but there are also players like Sander Berge and Yves Bissomo that could come into the squad.

One player that could also be a future Arsenal midfielder is Kessie, even though A number of teams have been linked with a move for him his current contract with AC Milan expiring in the summer.

I mean who doesn't love a free transfer for a 24-year-old in his prime, so he won't be easy to secure. The midfielder is expected to leave Italy in the summer, as contract talks have not gone well with his club

The Ivorian international has impressed as a ball-winner in the middle of the park, something that Arsenal do need to free up Partey to do more as his clearly feeling the burden of managing the midfield.

Arsenal could try and sweeten the deal by letting Xhaka or Guendouzi go to Milan in exchange.

Arsenal will need to secure some free transfers as spending might be a problem after the $150 million spending spree at the beginning of the season. Since Xhaka has been out injured and Mohamed Elneny’s contract up in the summer as well it will be a race against time to secure top players that can make real difference in the midfield.
