Arsenal to offer King Arthur an out

Arsenal are still looking to rebuild their squad and it looks like the defence has been sorted and now the focus is on the midfield

We all know Xhaka is not good enough and Elneny, guendouzi and Torriera should be on their way out

Finding good replacements isn’t an easy job and I’ve been begging for Aouar to come in but that didn’t happen! Now looks like Edu is turning his eyes to a forgotten man at Juve

The 25-year-old Arthur had a stellar time at Barca and then signed for Juventus in 2020 but has struggled for regular game time and has often been on the bench this season, despite his creative qualities.

Arsenal's need for a central midfielder was rammed home in the weekend defeat at Liverpool and in what will undoubtedly be a difficult window to conduct business

To find a more realistic and attainable option than Arthur to strengthen the ranks in the middle of the pitch will be tough for Edu halfway through a season.

He is probably one of the best players we could hope to get and with partnering Partey that would be a solid base to then build going forward
