PE MOMENTS FROM HIGH SCHOOL
Talk about that kid who wanted nothing to do with any extracurricular activity, that was me. Count me out of whatever was classwork unrelated. Those never caught my fancy. I could never be caught doing any and no one could coerce me into it. PE though was both class and field work and I only just wanted to hang out by myself during PE times or be a spectator. I functioned better that way. Never attended any school event except one.

The school's inter-house sports, and even that, was against my will. It would never have been if my mother hadn't gotten wind of the event and she, who already was worried about my unenthusiasm towards social activities, had yelled and begged that I attend even if I do not participate. And that was to be the first and last I went to.
When I got there and it was time for the relay race(isn't that what it's called, the pass-the-baton race?), it was discovered that one of the runners was absent due to ill health. Out of the blue, I was asked to replace her. I vehemently refused. The house master began pleading and, the game was already being announced to begin. Reluctantly, I gave in. I chose to be a starter cause I thought attention would be less. And although I ran well(that's according to a couple class/school mates who acknowledged me), I hated it.
And that made me realize for certain that there was nothing fun about the whole activity and I had never missed out by not attending any of the other social activities. I just have no business with those.
Physical Education was a compulsory subject back in high school(junior high). As I recall, it was called PHE(Physical and health education).
Quite an interesting one, made even fun because of the kind of teacher who handled the subject. A sportsman, who brought the exact needed energy. Personally, I had some qualms about the subject especially as regards learning different kinds of exercises and sports, their equipments and especially the rules they went by which all seemed interwoven and posed some difficulty to tell apart. That was a little issue. Notwithstanding, I aced it. Made an A in my junior certificate examination; tbe last I had an affiliation with the subject.
Classroom moments are not so easy to recall cause it's been a while and we did not have a steady teacher until the last guy. Although I have some memory-snaps from when we held outdoor exercise sessions in the schoolyard: jog sessions, warmups, games and the likes. I was never excited about any of those. They were not my thing, they only provided an avenue for me to just get off schoolwork and chill in my space, which I liked.
The school I attended did a daily nice job on providing equipments needed to make the whole lesson fun. I might not have engaged in a single game then, but if I ever have to delve into any, I know which to and for those, I know the rudiments. One thing I was certain about though was, should I begin to show interest, I'd make a good sportsperson. PE was just okay by me but the practical aspects was a no-no.
That's about everything.
