Los Chivos Mountain Hike Training - Stone
I had planned to leave earlier because the weather was not sunny, but like every afternoon I take my son to futsal practice, and that day we left early to return early from practice, but the coach lasted a bit further. So because of this I left my house with my pet Negrito almost at five in the afternoon.
Since there was no sun, I thought about doing a competition type training, and I went out at a fast pace, when I started to climb the mountain I had a time of 2 minutes 40 seconds, my best time there is 2 minutes 30 seconds, as As I was going up, I increased my pace on the slopes, reaching the top of the first mountain where the cross is in 7 minutes and 40 seconds, almost close to my best time.
After I continued advancing until the second climb, I felt that the pace was a bit strong, when I reached the bottom to climb the third mountain I had a record of 12 minutes, in this I recovered a little from the effort of the first two climbs, and I managed to reach the top of the third climb with a time of exactly 15 minutes, I could not lower my best mark of 14 minutes and 46 seconds, I was 14 seconds from this mark.
In this third ascent there are some descents that allow me to recover a little, here I found several people who were doing exercises on the bars and another who was resting, my pet stayed behind, and later on the descents he managed to catch up with me a little. Despite the partials that I did, I increased a few seconds, I continued walking at the same pace looking to reduce the time.
I reached the end of the descent in the Las Mercedes sector with a time of 20 minutes, there you find several walkers that I was training, ahead of me was a person that I managed to reach and then he started running, then he stopped to walk, at the end of this fourth mountain, I marked a time of 28 minutes on my stopwatch, then when I reached the electric towers I did 30 minutes, I was very close to finishing this route until I reached the stone.
It should be noted that after passing the towers, I reached the walker and accelerated the pace of the walk, seeking to lower the previous mark, the weather was cool, which is a great benefit when we do physical exercise such as walking and running. When I got to the stone I did a time of 33 minutes and 46 seconds, doing almost the same time as my best mark of 33:40, that is, six seconds more, a good time on this route.
Upon reaching this part of the mountain, I took out my water pot to hydrate myself and also for my pet, who was a bit tired, we rested for two minutes, and then we returned again, but at a slower pace. On the way back, all that mountain that we descended, we have to climb about 1 km of ascent, and then pass the other mountains.
My pet Negrito and I arrived at the house with a final time of 1 hour 15 minutes, I hope you liked this hiking training.
