Lane Cove NP : March 13 2025

Another late night in markets makes for another slow start. Really struggling to get motivated to do anything - put off finishing the review for the IM product I have been promoting. They are pulling the main offer and leaving in place a piss weak offer. Why bother? Made no sales on the main offer. Had an idea to drive out for shopping and a walk - neither happened. Mushroom photo from home - the bright colours grab the light.

Decided to do a two for one. Take the bike - pump up tires - check if it is good for cycle tour next week - ride down to Lane Cove NP and walk a bit the other side

Very quickly became a mushroom day. Walked a rainforest track on the other side

Did find orchid evidence - greenhood forming a third leaf. New sighting - did not walk this track last season

More bright light for hard mushroom photography

Lobelia

Pea flower - tiny

Seen this flowering form a few times in recent walks - stopped to make the photo - small makes for hard photos

A bit of sombrero mushroom form

Tried to get focus with the framing - did not really work

Scurvy weed - flowing down the hill from the properties above

Light on this grass head got my eye - light contrast worked

Was a lot of butterfly action - a bit of zoom when it stopped. They do not pose

Gold top mushroom

Whole bird nest fallen out of the tree above

Cryptostylis leaves on the way down the track - back to the bike

Rode up Tunks Hill - steeper than I have done for a while. Got to train for next week. View from the top across to Chatswood onna clear blue sky day

Pine-leafed geebung

Did the next steep bit under the main road to the Macquarie Park side. Good to get the 2nd big hill done without the body revolting

Saw this lizard posing on the way down the hill. It did not move even when I stopped and looped around from the uphill side. The best part is it was posing in a cluster of bonnet orchid leaves

Did the loop around on the way back through the suburb for this picture

First time seeing this flower even though we had them at home when I was a kid - delicious monster - fruit is apparently good

First hill work ride for a while - good to get out and use the ride-walk to lift the mood

Not a lot of steps credit for the bike but I did keep heart rate down

Dinner: My wife is still sick - leftovers for me

Trade action: Sold GGD.TO, UEC. Bought NLR, EU.
