Heading into a few hot days. Changed up the sequencing for the day. Take some ice bricks to keep ice cream cold and shop first - then walk. Headed out to shop Belrose which us much more relaxed.
The walk Terrey Hills side of Ku-ring Gai Chase NP. Hoping to find midge orchids in grassy areas and wasp orchids in the rain forest. Start with the biggest tear drop flower I have seen- my name
First of the hakea flowers
Not seen this purple number before - too far away from gardens to be an escapee
An interesting form - hard to tell if this is flower forming or flower finished - gonna guess it is forming
A fab cluster of pea flowers - never seen on with flowers so tight
Goodenia
Bonnet orchid leaves - was not a day for orchids - keep watching
Hibbertia - an ID journey between hibbertia and goodenia
Pink grevillea
Pea flower just emerging
Banksia flower
Silver top mushroom growing right out of the track
Pale flax lily with attendant ant sucking nectar - tough photo for a tiny flower in bright light
Did find some wasp orchid leaves off track - no buds - leaf litter was heavy - come back in two weeks to see leaves pushing out
