Seven Mile Beach NP ride : December 31 2024

Up early on the last day of the year - my wife headed out early to get seafood for our New Year's eve celebration. Will have friends over and watch the 9pm fireworks from Sydney and surrender.

Went to Seven Mile Beach NP - found orchids and a few other interesting things especially bugs

No idea what this is

The butterflies make for hard subjects - they keep moving

These had me intrigued - not seen them before - it is a bug of some sort which makes a nest and I guesss lays eggs. Some sort of caterpillar perhaps. Have asked the question on iNaturalist - someone will know

Surprised to find a mushroom - do not know its name - silver top

Grand bush to walk in and reflect on the year gone

And the year ahead

New beginnings there will be with a new grandchild

Rode down to beach - the last time for the year - looking north to Gerroa

Had friends over for dinner and did watch the Sydney fireworks after they had gone home.
