Rain drops and Gordon flowers : December 7 2024
Rainy and humid day lent itself to staying indoors. Did walk up in the rain to meet friends for coffee. It was wet but we had a good chat. Did the hardware shopping and picked up a few Christmas things from storage
Did go out walking - signs of blue down the hill across to Macquarie Park
Easy theme for the day - raindrops and flowers

Walked the next street down the hill - still a bit of blue around

Part of the mission was to check on a house that has orchids - a big spray of two types of oncidium
A purple version - not seen this two tone before
Zoom in on the other - ladies tresses is its colloquial name
One flower open on the banskia serratum. Every other node has an old flower - so there was only one new. Name comes from the leaves - serrated
Spent the afternoon doing investing stuff. Had a look at horse races - bet one race and gave up. Not in the right frame of mind. So hot and humid. Sure is sapping my energy
Quiet evening at home. Leftovers for dinner - got a lot of those from the dsy before visit to my wife's son.
