Grey Gordon Day : November 4 2024

The grey days are getting to my mood. I am so far away from where I thought we would be. Cooped up in an apartment in a busy city suburb with tough roads to cycle and my car parked two blocks away. And my wife has started a new project - got 5 more months before things might change. Been a story like that for 20 years now. Not my dream

Made an around the block walk. A team pulling cable down our side street. Replacing Telstra copper cable - downgrading cable to free up dollars of old cable. When I went to shops there were on the highway - photo is of the old cable

A few days back chatted to the barbers cleaning up their old shop. They are moving upstairs - lower rent and better space and nicer owner. New place has an old style barber pole

Did a little shopping

Got the extra steps in doing a little garden work. Cleared the weeds around the Christmas tree - it is flowering now

Next to our apartment is a bed with a bottle brush in it. Tree is dying. There are a few flashes of green. Started the process of cutting back all the die back

Some way to go once I work out how to do the high bits without killing myself. Next stage may be the brutal stage and hope what I have done so far works

Dinner: Salmon sous vide. Found marked down lemon butter fillets. Cooked the normal way and added some of the butter after
