Lane Cove NP Ramble : October 27 2024

Started out a bit grey. Got friends coming over late afternoon - best get out on the bike earlier. Headed down to the Lane Cove NP to see how busy it gets on a Sunday. Took a side road to check it out on the way down

The house next door - hired an architect - did a better job than the house next door - a bit slabby

Saw this orchid on the road down to the NP. Has been dumped from a garden - will take some effort to get it free. Will make a plan for my house as this is not its home

Dropped down to the river and rode up the other side to walk a side track. Parked the bike and the orchids are right there

There were a few cockatoos feeding - got this contrast photo of bottlebrush and cockatoo feeding

Had to chuckle when I got 8th on a segment - it is where those houses were. 4 houses each side tells me I am slower than all the kids

Guests arrived for the first sundowners since we moved here 11 months ago. Drink a few sips as the sun goes down. Snack a bit. This time helping friends plan a move to New Zealand and welcoming my wife's nephew back to Australia
