Pink rock orchids open up on return to Sydney : August 22 2024

Heading back to Syndey today with a little less time pressure. My wife headed out to knitting group early and chose to come back - we could leave together rather than have me pack and drive

A weird cloud formation above Coolangatta Mountain at chicken feed time - never seen an archive like that

The chickens are quick to come out as soon as the gate rattles. The moorhens are learning too - they are free and hop the fence

Easy trip home - my wife drove - always good to travel out if school and tradie go home times

A few gardenia flowers open at home

Star of the show were the 7 pink orchid spike with flowers. Dendrobium kingianum - plant from a friend has survived the move

My wife went to babysit her grandson - got dinner there. Made a scratch fry up for my dinner - yum.

Steps all come from back and forth packing and feeding the chickens. A bit lazy to do some back in Sydney

It is not a chicken. It is a wild water bird that knows to come into the chicken pen when people come to feed the chickens. Called a moorhen
