Nodding greenhood day in Seven Mile Beach NP : July 15 2024

A windy night and a cold morning. Stayed indoors doing the investing write up for last week. Was not very focused writing up last week - catching up needed.

Did get out on the bike after lunch break to ride to middle section of Seven Mile Beach NP - ride to a marker and then carry the bike to the footpath. First orchids are still going in the place I parked up last time

A few flowers still going - tall greenhood - bunochilus longifolia

Nodding greenhoods just opening up this side - were only budding last walk - not quite in focus

Did find one colony of pixie caps orchids flowering

Found a colony of trim greenhoods in a known spot. Most of the flowers have been nipped off by critters. Pterostylis concinna. Did look closely at every spike as this is probably spot I saw a different greenhood two seasons back. Not seen it since

Turned around where the palms become more prominent - not a lot of orchids under them

Budding greenhood - probably nutans judging by shape of leaves

Did turn into a nodding greenhood sort of day - pterostylis nutans

Took the bike back to road and checked out a location between road and track that I had seen blunt greenhoods last year. They are flowering as I saw them 2 days back. Could only find a few budding plants. Do have a good marker to find them next visit

What has been noticeable this walk is no mushrooms - just this one. Fab contrasts in the photo

Good to stretch the legs on the bike a bit. It was windy - sure happy there were no big branches falling. As we are going back to Sydney, I was keen to get out to ride

Had a quiet night at home - dinner - left overs

Trade action: Bought ACB.TO. Call spread risk reversal on SMR. Naked puts on QS.
