Wander down old Edwards St Gordon houses : July 1 2024
Slow start to the day after watching a big slice of the Tour de France - it is that time again. Did not watch to the end. Wake to a clear enough day. A morning spent doing investing stuff. Did get out walking ahead of the rain forecast
Netcasting spider in the fire escape - no net showing but recognise the shape
Lovely purple flowers in Gordon Reserve - decided to walk down a street not walked before - Edwards St Gordon
Some grand old single storey houses - this one with fibro panelling on the fascia
More traditional brick fascia
Somewhat modernised with a new deck and roof covering
Super tidy garden with some neat statues
Toward the end of the dead end street is a super smart old age home run by Anglicare
End of the street is a flying fox reserve - no tracks down to the creek
Heaps of warning signs about staying off the reserve
Somehow these guys got permission to remodel this house right below the reserve. Never mind the safety of the flying foxes
Walked back up the higher side of the street - old style housebwith big verandahs. Not many of those around here
Maybe a squeezed in house - a bit more modern. A lot of these blocks have been subdivided. Mostly the new house is at the back - this one not
One under renovations - the outside looks like it will retain the original character
Variations on the small front verandah - not the wrap around
Tidy garden house - they do like the hedges around here
Render the brick away and put in some Tuscan arches - out of keeping
The rusty fence caught my eye - then the overgrown garden - awaiting change
Got that right as there is a development proposal outstanding
One more view from the driveway - ripe for change. Looks like a candidate for a knckndown as the housebdies not have the verandah features
Edward Street houses were great
Dinner action from a new recipe book - Hungarian chicken dish. All about paprika and capsicum relish. Brown the chicken. Saute the onions and garlic. Add in some passata and chicken stock and the relish (used green tomato and beetroot and horseradish relish I had). Simmer away for a while
Lay in the browned chicken and bake for 30 minutes at 180C.
Served with potato rösti cooked in airfryer. Recipe book behind - from a friend of a friend
Another late night ahead - Tour de France

The Hungarian chicken dish looks delicious my friend!!
A healthy meal after a very healthy 7K @actifit step day!👍
Looks like a beautiful neighborhood thanks for sharing the photos!😄
Your neighborhood stroll sounds delightful brother, especially with the mix of old and modern houses. The Hungarian chicken dish has to be super delicious, definitely something I'd love to try.

Dear beloved Hive creator,
Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋
We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.
For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
