4 orchid find + mushrooms in Seven Mile Beach NP : June 3 2024

World Bicycle Day - took the bike down Gerroa Road and carried it to the track in Seven Mile Beach NP I like to walk - photo in the bush. Mission is autumn orchids

Pixie caps orchids - lots of those

Fringed helmet orchid - very many showing

Also a day for mushrooms - each one the size of a quarter

Pixie caps orchid with pollinator above. For context the flow is the size of two matcheads - the fly way smaller

Always a struggle to get underneath to see the column - the yellow bit - acianthus fornicatus

A few big trees fallen in the windy weather - next photo for clues on why

There is an ant nest all the way through the centre of the tree - well chomped

A larger fringed helmet orchid flower - 30% bigger

Lurking behind was this one peeking out. Did not notice at photo time the one behind

Painted fingers orchid - 2nd day finding those

Dinner - friends coming over for roast leg of lamb. Seasoned up with herbs from the garden.
