At home rainy day getting connected : November 29 2023

A bit of an at home day. Had a plan to shuffle a few items between the two bedrooms - simple moves take some effort as there are pathways to be cleared to make the moves. Got busy updating investing accounts from the week before the move. As it included options expiry, a lot to cover

Had a magpie visitor on the balcony. He posed. He sang his warbly chorus.

Received the modem for new internet service. First mail in a new house is worthy of a photo. Easy enough to install once I pulled the heavy fridge out of its place. Removalist had popped the power board for the devices up on a ledge up and behind the cupboard. Could not get it down by tugging on cables.

We now have internet running a bit more reliably than mobile hotspots - speed is mediocre at best. Disappointing iiNet

You know the drill by now - at home days are flower days - two gardenias offering flowers - crisp white on opening day

Number two

Sunflower had popped up in the qumquat pot - seed from feeding the birds. They survived the move

Second oncidium orchid has opened. Got a few more buds on this spike and one more spike to come

Walked up to shops for a few items needed for dinner and tomorrow. Huge storm brewing out west and heading our way.

It absolutely chucked it down when the storm broke. I did have an umbrella. That was totally useless when a c$nt of a driver zoomed up the left lane and hit a big puddle - got soaked

Dinner: Made lasagna using mince sauce made the other day

Make a 4 cheese bechemel sauce starting with a roux

Layer the pasta sheets, meat sauce and bechemel in 3 tranches

Top with smoked paprika seasoning and bake at 200C for 40 minutes - was yum. 2nd meal cooked in the new kitchen.

Trade action: Been quiet in markets - a few covered calls. Bought GTR.AX - following uranium

Turned into a late night with the closure of Bittrex Global. Working out where to transfer tokens to and making sure transaction set ups are right. Not all done with a few tokens not worth a lot and hard to find wallets for them. The impressive part is the ability to move tokens across the world without human intervention and in short time-scales
