Donkey Orchids and Yellow Raindrops Theme : October 5 2022

Went to pick up my bike from the welder. Used the time to do the shopping and then do an orchid walk in the rain

Car park caladenia is still flowering - bonus

This was the target - donkey orchids now open - raindrops and yellow is the theme

Budding with raindrops brimming with reflections

Golden donkey orchid in a known location complete with raindrops

Side on a few plants down

Yellow and raindrops - pea flower fits

Not expecting these open - just one

Bearded orchid still standing in a field of mayhem

This is the mayhem - wallabies dug out the tubers of 3 of the 4 plants standing

Did get two photos of calochilus campestris - neither attached to the ground

Copper bearded orchid - not a lot of hope for next year as tubers are wallaby food this year and no seeds for next year

The good news is I got a walk in before the big rain

Dinner: Yellow chicken curry - simmering away

A little more flash on the plate
