Rainy Day and Roses : March 19 2022

As we drove up to the Valley on Friday, I was doubting the rain forecast. We had a fab starry sky with the full moon rising. The forecast was right - it was raining when I got up. Tough to think mowing when it is raining. Lots of the lawn was too long to mow. I hit the strimmer between showers. It is a huge effort to mow a quarter acre with a strimmer. Good news is I packed an extension cord to reach all corners. Popped in for coffee on each rain break. No photos on progress.

Snapped this growing in Black Creek in town when I went to buy petrol for the mower. Hard to pay $2.02 for petrol. Was $0.25 when I was a kid and under $1 not long ago

Was a tough day strimming that amount of grass but I got it done. Need a strimming category here - my arms are wobbly

Strimming done, I tidied up all the beds around the house. Grass going crazy in the beds.

Also dead headed all the roses. Weather did improve for photos of vine end roses - photos show the mood of the sky

Coral shows the nice tidy edges on the driveway - strimmer man has done his work

More sky moods looking south tells us what tomorrow brings - blue skies

What the photo does not share is the rich perfume

Subtle changes in colour

I love the flow of seasons in the vineyard - autumn colours just beginning to show.

Dinner: My wife cooked Thai red chicken curry. I had the hard job cooking rice. Great to enjoy a home cooked meal after a hard day in the garden
