Sun Came Out - Greenhoods Time : March 9 2022
The morning started grey but it did not rain just like the forecast said or would not. The rain rain has got into my head. Did some garden tidy up
Spent the morning wrestling with crypto things - wanting to get right into the CUB Finance launch. This is tricky stuff but it keeps the mind active
Did get out on the bike to walk a local track. Road into National Park is closed as are many of the walking tracks - landslides. My plan was on a track on the open side - first photo is not what I saw first
I parked bike in a different spot a day walked across the grass to follow the steps - big snake
Two metres of diamond python enjoying a little warmth
Mission for the day was to see if greenhoods were open
Found a few in a few spots - pterostylis acuminata
Sharp greenhood - pointy with a touch of brown

Did remember to take a front on photo low enough to capture the labellum

It was good to get out on the bike and to find an orchid for the day. Also no leeches.

Lovely photograph of flowers but the snake scared 😱 me away
I came so close to standing on it - one step close. It was quite relaxed and allowed me to make a video too.
