Not Often Visited Track - 3 Orchids : My Actifit Report Card: December 7 2021
Who knows what day it is? In the old days I knew it was a weekday when my wife drove off to work. Now I do not know. I was awake early enough to get up before US markets closed. Learned a new trick - check the futures before bedtime
Did go out to ride to a slice of the NP not visited for a while and I accessed the track earlier than normal. Bonus hyacinth orchid
Brush turkey happy to chat a bit
Sumner has been cooler than normal but the gum trees are planning for a hot one
Found another variegated hyacinth orchid open just where I normally join the trail
Bonnet orchid in a new location. Sometimes the photos surprise me - ethereal

Found the large tongue orchids on the way back
Tough to get this photo of the underside veins in the light - happy to see the result
The eucalyptus tree is giving messages about the summer to come. Sap = rained enough. Bark loss = maybe hot times coming
Mushrooms also have a message. They think it is autumn = rained enough
This is a consistent message. The dyanella produces Christmas balls as the summer unfolds
Dipodium variegatum budding in a.spot not noticed before - target for 2 weeks time
Large tongue orchids on the way - less than a week to go
Ride was a bit harder than it should have been. Maybe not enough water on the walk. Maybe the price of a quieter month now I am 65.
Dinner: My wife cooked cottage pie. My job. Veges. Nice to have a night off.
