Bonnet Orchids Season : My Actifit Report Card: December 5 2021
No birds waking me up before sunrise today. Body does not want to get up especially on grey days. Just keep turning over and hoping. Not sure how I can break out of this deep funk. Maybe when the state government relaxes the rules when we get to 95% jackseened. TGA approved the 5 to 11 years for jackseens. They will just change the denominator and keep us locked in.
Went for the afternoon walk down the local track - big mushroom - testament to the wet summer
Large tongue orchid - a new opener
Found a few bonnet orchids all new for the season. Best get used to seeing these for the next two months
I try to keep track of which ones I have photographed. Easy today as all are new for the year
You might just see the hopper of a sewer manhole - a known location from last year and survived the track work
Close to track edge - cryptostylis erecta - bonnet orchid
A big bird fern. Tribute for my friend Robyn from all those years ago. She loved ferns. RIP.
Progress chdck on hyacinth orchids. Tow have succumbed to an infection. These might make it.
Walked a bit more - phone call from my son. He chatted and I looked for orchids
I did find some more variegated hyacinth orchids open
Close by were some bonnet orchids open
These have survived below the track work.
Home in time to get ready for a roast duck dinner. Went well - guest was happy
