Freedom Break and Calga Aboriginal Track : My Actifit Report Card: December 4 2021
Birds woke me really early - first time in 5 months to be in my Hunter Valley house. Was a grey morning but dry enough to finish the mowing - was hard to mow 9 inch high wet grass. Cleared the garden beds
I did walk a couple of local tracks on the way home. Pretty sure that is not in the rules but nobody would know
A seeded orchid I missed with 5 months away
These too. We do not get these down our way
Freedom view down to Brokenback Mountains. Stopped for fuel - 50 cents a liter cheaper than home - no check in made. Free
Stopped to walk a trail in Brisbane Water NP on the way home which I have not walked. Did find seeded orchids on the way up. This is thick banksia and grevillea bush and not great for orchids

Christmas bells - supposedly endemic north of the Hawkesbury River. This one is but I have seen 3 in the last week south of the river

Nice way to end the freedom trip. This was a special trip - breaking free but also walking one of the traditional Aboriginal routes. They walked the ridge lines to get from place to place. We are lucky now the powerlines go the same way so we get to walk a trail - not a bush bash.
Lawns are done. I talked with nobody (apart from me). I got cheap petrol. I found the orchid for the day in two places.
