At last we got some settled weather with only a few thunderstorms around. Perfect chance to get on the bike and focus on a ride. I was a bit slow in getting moving - that is the lockdown way. Decided to do a loop ride and pass some orchids on the way down the hill for orchid of the day

I saw an unusual spike and turned around to look. Right next door was the bonnet orchid budding - a new location. No spike. No see

Flash of purple on the right in the appointed spot I saw last time

Variegated hyacinth orchid

Dipodium variegatum

Recorded a personal best going down this side - mostly as I had a vehicle behind me and I was holding it back through the bends

New openers for the season of the large tongue orchids

Cryptostylis subulata

Found a rose hyacinth orchid in a new location

The spot looks familiar - look across the road on the downhill side perhaps

Rose hyacinth orchid - dipodium roseum

Sure enough there was a plant flowering in the area burned in that hazard reduction burn - standing a metre tall

Did find some variegated hyacinth orchids budding on the way up. Cooler this side and will flower in 10 days or so

Spider web did a good job holding the subject still

Nice ride. Too bad the big hill does not count for a lot of steps

Dinner: My wife made chicken curry. I did the sides

Trade action: Crypto stuff. Banked some 800% profits in GALA and put some in COTI. Need to spend more time trading crypto
