My Actifit Report Card: March 14 2025

Worked my ass off this week... been averaging 10+ hours per day and even worked my day off...

10k steps today
10k steps yesterday

But that's ok!

I sold a car on Monday

Help me congratulate Ryan on his purchase - a sweet 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country!!

I sold my friend a 2018 Audi Q5 Prestige for his daughter last night

This thing is FULLY LOADED and it is absolutely GORGEOUS 😍

Plus I got to help a coworker with a deal on his day off...

All in all it's been a good week but this is what contributes to my burnout...

We close at 7pm... but I've been late Monday (left at 8pm)

Wednesday (left at 630pm on my "day off")
Thursday... bloody hell... left at 830pm...

But... I persevere.

Despite the toll mentally and physically... I endure.

My shoes are worn out - I go through a pair every 3-4 months or so 😫 and I am way overdue...

This leads to foot, knee and back pain - I'm not a spring chicken any more 😭😭😢

However - we must do what is necessary for success... even if that does not align with what we want.

Need to do my taxes, pay some property tax and a bunch of other "adulting".

I can't complain... well I could... but I won't.

Instead, I'll just push through it and schedule some rest soon.

I am thankful that my job keeps me this active though!!!

I see others in the same role who are way more sedentary...

Remember friends... Health = Wealth!

Look for a Soulkeep post tomorrow morning though - it's been awhile... so it's time 😊

Man - it was THEEEEEEEE deal too!!

Like... everyone knows the German Cars depreciate due to maintenance and repair costs...

But new in 2018 it was $56k, fully loaded with EVERYTHING... $9,300 Prestige Pack, Warm Weather Pack, Cold Weather Pack, Driver Asst - LOADED.

JD Power Prices, in our market were: Trade-In $24,198, Retail $26,798...

I was happy to take a "Mini" on this for my friend and we sold it for $24,498.

He got THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE deal, I had been looking for months and she's happy :)

I'm grateful it all worked out!

My wife is an Audi lover, drives Q5. I hate it :)

Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful car, but it very expensive to maintain. I have done this for the last 20 years with 3 different Audis. A4 and two Q5s. In addition now after riding them for 20 years I don’t like the stiff ride anymore especially after my recent surgery. I am definitely not a spring chicken anymore and I don’t want to feel every bump in the road.

Just pre-covid new cars in the $40K range and suddenly now they are $60K range. Nothing else in the consumer goods market has this level of inflation in 5 years!

Time to upgrade to the larger vehicle with heavier suspension sir... but it will upgrade the price unfortunately :(

Might I suggest an Acura MDX or Lexus GX 460? The Acura will be more spacious than an Audi Q7 or Q8 with similar ride softness (unless you throw down for the Prestige Audi with Adaptive Suspension).

The Audi will be quieter and "smoother".

The MDX Tech Package is $59k and the Advanced is $67k
Audi Q7/Q8 will easily be mid $70-$80k

The larger vehicles will allow for easier entry/exit, more room for you and the fam, softer more plush seats, heavier suspension for softer/smoother ride, more insulation for less road/air noise and overall a more enjoyable experience.

I believe you'll find that better suited to us "Late Summer Chickens"...
