My Actifit Report Card: March 5 2025

Normally, Wednesdays are my day off... but my fiancée works for a small restaurant chain building and installing the artwork and other things around the various facilities.

The owner of these restaurants also owns a number of beach houses down in the Outer Banks NC.

He tasked Brittany with transporting and installing a number of things to various properties down there on Tuesday...

Naturally, Brittany asked me to help... which means I used some PTO to carry a bunch of the heavy stuff... and build furniture... woohoo 😅

When we got down there, the weather was nice... and I ran down to snag a quick pic of the beach

However, after I got down there I turned and saw an awesome photo op with a beautiful sunset!

However, this photo op was just a short moment to snap a pic or three... we had work to do lol

We drove almost 8 hours down and took a number of breaks so it wasn't so bad.

I should have taken photos of these houses, they were gorgeous.

But I wanted to get to work... we had a good bit to do and there was a severe storm front coming across the US and it was supposed to meet another front here and have 30-40mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph!

Let me tell you, the difference was literally night and day...

The wind picked up overnight and I hurried us through the remaining work so we could leave ahead of the storm... let me tell you... those bridges are cool... until you're driving over them in a Transit Van with crosswinds...

While the sunrise was beautiful...

You saw the beach when we arrived... here's the beach in the morning before we left...

If you can't tell... those are some BIG choppy waves for this area!

We're over the bridges and on the way home... storm line will hit at some point... but here's a photo I snapped of the bridge on the way in!

Really cool bridge onto the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Where the Wright Brother's first flight was!!

Good news though, we're safely off the islands - the roads do get washed out quite frequently!

Headed home and should be there in about 5-6 hours!!

While it may not have been a very relaxing trip... I appreciate the time I got to spend with my fiancée 🥰🥰🥰

Her birthday is tomorrow and I wouldn't have missed this for the world!
