O problema é que para manipular de modo eficiente a matéria, as ciências modernas precisaram usar um método de investigação que levasse em conta apenas as propriedades matematizáveis dos objetos que estudava.

Assim, abstraindo todos os acidentes e todo circulo de potencialidades não manifestas dos entes, o que a ciência moderna estuda são apenas aspectos abstratos que podem ser medidos, mas nunca coisas e fatos concreto.
