It used to be more hour more pay but recently most government in the world change it into more hours more rest hours so basically less work time on days that is not busy. That's why these days no one wants to do overtime because there is no money in them just extra rest but it's not extra rest.

I used to work for a company that demanded overtime, then by the end of the week they sent you home early so they didn’t have to pay any overtime !😮
