Cricket World Cup : The BIG Finale!
Only 1 game left in the Cricket World Cup and it’s the BIG one. Not particularly surprising to see that it’s going to be Host Nation India versus Australia and while India are starting out as firm favorites there is a lot of momentum behind Australia now and Australia does excel at the tournament format. Australia has won 8 games in a row and appear to be peaking at the right time once again...

The big final is being played in Ahmedabad on Sunday and it’s a ground where 1st Innings scores have been 282, 191, 286 and 244 with the team batting first winning only one of these 4 games. The wickets to fall in those games have been fairly well spread out amongst seam and spin bowlers so if the recent form is a guide it looks like one of the better cricket wickets with something in it for both bat and ball which is VERY GOOD to see.
Personally I’d be surprised if the wicket doesn’t take a lot of turn. There is clear advantage to the home nation in regards to pitch preparation and India does have a solid edge in the spin department with a history of preparing favourable pitches, but it should make for a cracking contest regardless. We have our Sweep Winners @bitcoinman (India) and @dfinney (Australia) both guaranteed a payout now with 28 HBD going to the winner and 12 HBD going to the loser of this game. That HBD is just sitting there burning a hole in my wallet so I’ll be glad to be rid of it.
If you’re interested in the game of Cricket then tune into this last match if you can. It is going to be a packed out stadium and the local fans will be going ballistic with emotions running feverish. There’s not many times when you’ll find a Pom cheering for the Aussie cricket team but I’d just like to see India lose this match.
As for the pitch, well in theory the ICC should determine it but in practice that’s not happening as events in the SF show and even if it were we all know that the ICC is essentially run by the BCCI.

But yeah Australia will be up for it, they got favourable conditions at the start of the semifinal but they used them perfectly and were all over SA.
Yes, I think the final result was fitting in many ways but there are definitely some integrity issues at work with the way the pitches are being prepared and managed. The ICC needs to be fortified to some degree if possible, I just don't know how that happens.

It's a big event for cricket fans and they are excited for the finale
I'm not too much interested in cricket but hope the one team who put efforts can be rewarded for that
The very last final match is left and we see that Australia is also performing well and India has not played a single match yet so the final match is going to be very interesting and people are very excited for it. And a bit sad nearer is that Babar Azam has resigned from the captaincy, his fans are sad.
